"If Spain does not exist in a society for the protection of landscapes, can meet its mission the Provincial Council of Huesca and the Royal Geographical Society, personality enough to appeal to the Government of Madrid for Ordesa Valley. Si he imposed his will, the divine barrel on the peninsula became a national park portentous, reflection of Americans created by the banks of the Yellowstone, a National Park where mountain evergreens flourish, quietly, reproducing the chamois and trout, and where finally, the venerable forests of the Pyrenees as a grandmother would be respected: the dreamers would come from all over to bask in nature wild, in a closed seekers Olympic perfectly preserved walls, and which appear in future generations, fatigued by the development of arts and sciences, as reminiscent of the age or the happy garden of Eden ".

These emotional words had its effect, laid the basis for the statement, day 15 August 1918 Ordesa Valley National Park. Spain had since then with the second country's National Park, after the declaration a couple of months before (22 June), Mountain of Covadonga, Picos de Europa current- as the first Spanish National Park.

This writer, photographer, French explorer and Pirin has won the bust Well located in the depths of the canyon by the river, Araz

And these words were not uttered by an Aragonese, although it could have been,, even for a Spanish. Out of the mouth of a Frenchman, coming from the neighboring valley and nothing Gavarnie setting foot for the first time in the valley (1881) pleaded deep love Ordesa Valley. From that moment Lucien Briet Paris became a regular visitor to the valley, you wrote about different works. His dedication and deep love of "God gun" was a constant in his life. Luckily he saw his dream of walking through a valley protected as national park Ordesa, albeit only three years before his death. This writer, photographer, French explorer and Pirin has won the bust Well located in the depths of the canyon by the river, Araz, running through their valley favorite. Probably located in one of the best places where you can see the natural landscape that captivated him so much.

Excursions and routes that visitors can now go in Ordesa are many but, naturally, Today I can only recommend the way why Turieto Under? Because it is the path that runs alongside the bust of Lucien Briet. The road is the former Under Turieto access on foot from the village of Prairie Torla to Ordesa, the enclave that is now used as a starting point for most tours.

Unlike other browsers, as was done in the golden age of exploration in other continents, Lucien Briet terrain has no references to its name in the valley. If nevertheless has plenty of allusions in the surrounding villages. A shelter, shelter, a school, a photographic competition, even a store named for the French to which we must all in gratitude for having laid the first stone conservation considered by many, as the most impressive national park in Europe.

I have memories of Ordesa since I was a child and my father went up to twelve years old Monte Perdido. Then I made top four or five times, from the prairie and from Nerín. I especially recommend the Gaza Flowers, a very spectacular way air and stuck to the rock, that runs along the right of the barrel and that goes to the circus Cotatuero. Congratulations to the author for publishing this natural wonder of the Pyrenees in Huesca
