«I suppose that the greatest and most dangerous folly is to smile at others without any reason to do so., when what is expected of you is crying", I thought when I heard in that beautiful porticoed square a man howling and laughing as if there was no sadness in the world capable of turning off his morning.

Querétaro summarizes the current history of Mexico in three key chapters. Here independence was conceived in 1910 with a heel from the corregidora doña Josefa Ortiz, locked away by her husband to protect her, that alerted the conspirators that their revolt plan had been discovered by the Hispanic authorities and the revolution could be alerted and precipitated with the so-called cry of Dolores with which the priest Miguel Hidalgo launched the 16 September 1810 to a troop of prisoners, peasants and criollos to take the cities of the so-called Bajío. Every revolution needs icons, real or not, to settle the power. Mexico has in the heels of Doña Josefa and in the bells of Hidalgo, two of the most important.

an enlightened European emperor in the surreal North American country

Then, It was also in Querétaro where the almost romantic delirium of the Austrian Maximilian of Habsburg came to an end., supported by the troops of Napoleon III, to become an enlightened European emperor in the surreal North American country. The 19 June 1867 the emperor, after being defeated in two key campaigns and being taken prisoner, he is shot 19 June at Cerro de las Campanas. His dreams of wealth in the new world ended three years after being crowned emperor of Mexico biting the dust from the soil of Querétaro. "I will die for a just cause, that of the Independence and freedom of Mexico. May my blood seal the misfortunes of my new homeland. Long live Mexico", were his last words.

Finally, Querétaro was again key in the history of the country when the 5 February 1917 the mexican constitution was promulgated, still current, that ended, if it ever ended or just falsely closed, to the famous mexican revolution.

I heard the crazy screams of a guy: !Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, Áaaaanimo!

And I was understanding all the historical importance of this beautiful city while we were walking through the Plaza del Palacio de Gobierno when I heard the crazy screams of a guy: !Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, Áaaaanimo!, he yelled at people passing near his car window. He was driving a yellow vehicle on which the words "Courage" and "Equanimous" were read.. Chillaba, almost violently, and disappeared from our sight.

Then ,minutes later he returned with his car through the square shouting. He stopped in some arcades to talk to some acquaintances and I decided to approach. The man began to rant at me about love, to be moved and its always ending full of overflowing energy: «Áaaaanimo». And people who passed by repeated with him his war cry: «Áaaaanimo». and smiled, and he moved a lot, and he spoke to me again about things that I did not fully understand and I saw him disappear in his car while I listened to his screams throughout the city: «Áaaaanimo».

Then, some local people told me that this man has been like this for years, driving through the city and screaming in his yellow car, crying out positivity from his dry throat…. wear like this, seems, since his daughter died of an illness, that's what they told us, although no one seemed to know for sure the beginning of his wonderful madness.
