At the foot of Everest

We are finally in Rongbuk, the world's highest monastery, at the foot of the fearsome north face of Everest. The sky is clear. The Monsoon has had a hand. The view is superb, gorgeous. Do not you get tired of looking at Qomolangma, the mother goddess of the mountains. Is, certainly, one of the happiest days of my life. Now just think of walking to base camp.

Pang-la: the best "terrace" of the Himalayas

Pang-la: la mejor “terraza” del Himalaya
"From a mountaineering point of view it was impossible to imagine a more horrific". That's the first impression he made on the north side of Mallory on Everest 1921. Camino en Rongbuk Base Camp, mole impressive you to step out from the top of Pang-la, undoubtedly the most privileged viewpoint of Qomolangma (Tibetan name). Thither we went.
