VaP. will be back this weekend at the Madrid Book Fair. Ricardo Coarasa signed on Sunday morning (the 11:00 a 13:30 hours) copies of his latest book, «Viaje a las fuentes del Nilo Azul. A route through northern Ethiopia », in the doghouse 283, World publisher of Black.
The foreword is written by Javier Reverte, para quien «Viaje a las Fuentes del Nilo Azul» es «un libro que persigue mitos a lomos de la pasión viajera y empapado de amor a la literatura».

«Es una manera de narrar, his and other travel writers, -says the master of travel writing- new Spanish literature: History is told, but history is relived in the flesh, se la hace sentir y palpitar en los pasos del viajero».

The country of the "burnt faces" for the Greek, the only African state that has not been colonized, able to defeat a European army in the battlefield, the right to try to soar. For the Spanish, also, former Abyssinia is the land of Pedro Paez, watched the first European to Blue Nile Sources, and whom the Scot Bruce usurped that honor proclaiming the discoverer of the same. On the ashes of a forgotten empire, XXI century Ethiopia struggles to find the path to prosperity. Is, certainly, an arduous task, but a nation with such historical foundation has earned an opportunity. This book is, somewhat, an act of love for a great country, an outstanding debt to the friendliness of its people, with past ignored, also, a modest gesture of atonement as a holder against awful. Etiopía no se merece ese estigma».

Behind the country of famine and drought lies a fascinating and unknown history that decades of wars and misfortunes could not delete

Ricardo Coarasa, founding partner of VAP, is also the author of «Hernán Cortés. The erased steps » (Mirror of Ink, 2007), the chronicle of the conquest of Mexico following the footsteps of Cortés Aztec territory, and «11-M. The day solidarity stood up to terror » (Free Books, 2004), a report on the coral 24 key times of the Madrid bombings.
