The freedom of a car surrounded by animals is exciting and this one turns instinctively reckless. Crossing the Etosha National Park is comparable to travel from one end to Galicia, but instead of manors or granaries, one can find gazelles and elephants.

Once again the spectacle of the wildebeest crossing the river, again the lurking crocodiles, again one of the most exciting major wildlife documentaries in store. And there beside them, positioned our car.

I crossed the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia walking. The taxi left me across the river and from there more than two miles, after crossing the bridge between the two countries, to leg and vein entering Africa.
