Canaima from the air

If the elves would inhabit this planet, home would Canaima. In the Gran Sabana of Venezuela extends this territory that some locals compared to a woman. Canaima National Park has smooth curves, as rocking the horizon, rolling hills and green meadows combed flowing into the mysteries of the jungle. But you need to get on a helicopter to understand that sometimes the world go crazy and explode the waterfalls and landscapes impossible walls.

It was too tempting: be a flight on Eden, a bird in paradise, an angel hovering over its own waterfall. "How much it will cost?"" Take You, what are you going to do!"" Put the engine running at once, "" Wait, wait, we leave at dawn ". And we left at dawn.

And we soon flying fantasy. Rivers appeared light mirrors, first still, inert, and then jumped, because the channel is split in two and there began the spectacle of the falls as drinking fountains where forests, becoming forests ranging craving thirst for that, growing, of tangled branches and hide to know what creatures. But the scene of hills and trees, the sensuality of the landscape was suddenly interrupted.

The nature here has lost the sense of proportion and propriety. In this scenario there are no men, because this is not even the scale of men.

If the woman lying savanna which lies, the stamp of the tepuis bursts vertically, manly, with a suddenness Wilderness. These mountains are the oldest in the world and you have to add many zeros to the years leading up, so many that you lose track of time.

They have a point obscene, such large, of such abrupt vertical. Walls are magnificent, but when we come to their summits they also discovered that the magic flowing waterfalls. The water falls everywhere, plunge into the deep rivers, as channels that challenge the vertigo kamikaze.

It is a world of rock, water and vacuum. An epic struggle against gravity and erosion. The nature here has lost the sense of proportion and propriety. In this scenario there are no men, because this is not even the scale of men. Here are thousands of meters fall, rivers that have lost control and forests that engulf any signs of civilization.

The helicopter was just a joke flying, a shell from which we could see the world of the gods. I remember that my feet looked a summit of stones, I remember that after I saw nothing but clouds and cliffs. I remember then appeared the Angel, I held the tears because I could not absorb such a prodigy, because Earth, When one thinks of Canaima, is a wonderful place.
