The River Hotel Villas do leave early Indian. The sea is calm, what calms my perennial fear my ear to play tricks. I go sailing with my little "family" Portuguese. Three friends, Bernard, Victor and Ana Paula, with whom I have the feeling of sharing a lengthy time, ours, that created more than ephemeral travel links. He knows many people when you lose by maps, but most are passing. There is a potential traveler pact is good support: at the crossroads friendship ends, as such, and you become a pleasant memory. Here is an exception.

The group was joined by another young Portuguese who are passing, traveling alone. We sailed into the heart of the Bazaruto Archipelago, its main island. The six islands are a protected National Marine Park which gradually removing the dollars go wild land in exchange for lodges. It is truly a paradise still unknown, another, which I see from the bow with the water hitting me in the face's eyes watching you lose the old Swahili style boats, their networks falling into the sea or, perhaps, spend watching a pod of dolphins who walk on the waves.
Our first stop brings me back to the island of Benguerra, in which I was in April. "We'll take a beer at the luxurious Azura", Vitor proposed. I then I did a photo shoot the other big hotel on the island (three), Marlin Lodge. I'll take that first. May be because the concept: Azura transports its wealthy clients, Harrison Ford had to stay, by helicopter from the airport. How does one cross the globe to sleep in a place or are not willing to walk its streets and its waters? Hangar velodrome of the runway of your luxury mansion. No odors, without contacts, Car noiseless, or taste the chaos of the port, no people… No trip to the end of the day.
We return to the boat and headed to the Big Island, Bazaruto. I ask my fellow travelers that we get to a sandy area where they remembered seeing groups of pink flamingos. Still there, as if they had not moved in all these months, walking in a row with their wire legs. I like to look at them with their carefree air, knowing who own a beach devoid of shadows, human. Then, we went to the big dune. We stopped the boat and eat in a small sandy, opposite the island, born from the depths of the Indian. No one, nothing, just us, our sandwiches and beers still cold. Occasionally a bird is about to watch the strangers. Not far from the spectacular coral reef that surrounds the archipelago, or the area where it is easy to dive with sharks whale or the chance to see five species of endangered turtles. This is an area of ??divers and fishermen who come from around the world (recently, Mozambique has been voted the third best beach destination worldwide by readers of the Sunday Times).

After lunch we decided, All but Ana Paula, climb the great dune. It is not easy to climb up the sand, but on the ridge we expected one of those unforgettable images. I do not carry the camera which makes the intimate moment. On one side I have a sea of ??thousand colors, the other an island dotted with small streams and wild vegetation. The only life we ??see is a herd of goats that eats vegetation to the boundary of the green and white. The dune moves inward, by slow and centenarians, leaving some shrub buried in the sand. The rest are branches, more or less broadleaved, that are lost to the horizon. I do not realize, but several minutes later I fell asleep, mesmerized by the picture. Beauty.
I wake up shouts. Vitor is coming down to the huge dune jumping to get his wife. She has decided to join the party. They are a formidable pair, enviable. Respecting love living spaces and shortening them on its own initiative. Laugh, embrace, up the sand hand in hand. This time we all sat, in silence, signal words are unnecessary. It's getting late, must return. I return again and again head, stop my steps and re-turn me on until I stop and watch this little paradise. Again the sea beating on the face is responsible for shaking my thoughts. We got home, the hotel, to this great place to leave some time for me to be a business to become a small home. Dusk. A group of fishermen, kids, pulls a huge network that takes all day waiting. Bernardo's help while I, this time, I dedicate myself to taking some photos and contemplating my last sunset in Vilanculos. I know it's time to go back to Cape Town.
That last night was full of great conversations, intimate, full of laughter, anecdotes of people who dream of seeing what there is always the other side. The next morning Victor and Ana Paula us to Bernard and me to our place of departure. He will do the same trip I did in April, in plates (Local buses) to Maputo. We exchange tips, I feel like going with him and continue the adventure, but my personal time I am forced to return. Amid the chaos of vans sixth hand we parted with a hug. I separated from my friend, my confidant, my fellow traveler who makes 24 days did not know and now I feel so close. Then turn the airport. The same scene. Victor and Ana Paula I offered that I stay with them as long as I choose. I say it in the car. They say it sincerely. Another doubt. I want to stay; I must go. The farewell between us hugs moistened eyes. Exit the plane as I think I never in my life have I encountered three people so quickly offered me both. Such generosity overwhelms. I have a debt for life that no one was required to pay.
