From afar, tears of the mountains seem. Closer, their presence is enhanced peaks and surrounded by hills. The ibones, designation used in the Aragonese Pyrenees to refer to mountain lakes, exude peace and are featured in some of the most beautiful postcards of the Pyrenean. I upgraded to a few seeking the tranquility of the mountains and I am aware of that make a list of the best is, beforehand, profoundly unjust. I will therefore make a brief tour of some of my favorites, to which I promptly returned this summer. Del valle de Tena Artouste, Astún the Ordesa National Park, Sansanet of a Candanchú, Go ahead my words pale before the roundness of the photographs illustrating this report. In this case, the words are almost over.
The ibones, name that is used to refer to the Aragonese Pyrenees mountain lakes, exude peace
One of the first I discovered, encouraged by the love of the mountains of my father, was ibón of scalar or frogs (2.092 meters), back to that as I have time. This year, also, guiding the footsteps of my son, Added satisfaction. For more reticent, the advantage is that you can climb up near the chairlift ibón (simply have to descend a slope). I've never done, truth, because rising barely walk takes an hour and a quarter and is not demanding. The path is well marked and starts next to the chair of Trout in the ski resort Astún, in the Pyrenees in Huesca. You have, also, the added attraction that you can walk to the French border and completing a long run (more than eight hours), the Crossing Ayous, with a number of lakes in Gaul until Sansanet. Along with the milestones that mark the border limit stands an interesting peak, the monks' (2.349 meters), that can be crowned in just half an hour.

In nearby station Candanchú, next to the chairlift debutantes, the path starts, through the beech forest, leads to ibón of Estanés (1.780 meters), which also can upload, Somport last frontier, from Sansanet (Parking is signposted to four kilometers of border). So I did the last time I visited, Just a few days ago. The latter route is shorter and you can reach the lake in an hour and a quarter. The climb is spectacular (the beginning is also protected by a forest that heat relieves) and lunch on its banks is a must before starting back.
In neighboring Tena Valley, one of the most beautiful I know in the Pyrenees, Panticosa the gondola operates during the summer to ease the harshness of the hikers climbing. This facilitates the ascent to Sabocos ibones (1.905 meters) and asses (2.060 meters). The second, the farthest, can be reached in less than an hour in the morning decline is topped with Sabocos. Both are spectacular, but added the cable facilities have expanded the list of lucky approaching these places. To make matters worse, coach about tourists who do not want, or unable, take the walk up the asses ibón. The climb from the end of the gondola runs through a boring track that compensate the wonderful views of the Tena Valley, but can be relieved by taking paths leaving it uphill. A day to enjoy with family or children.

More challenging is the ibón of Pondiellos, to which rises from the spa Panticosa. The rise devours meters from the first few corners and you have to save a pass, of the same name, cases 3.000 meters. But few lakes have a guardian as powerful as the impressive marble factory of Hell, a succession of three thousand to which can be raised (The journey is long and hard enough) by the route that leads to the mountain lakes of the area's most popular, those Bachimaña and Blues. Very near them, the mountain lakes of Brazato, less crowded, are others of my favorites.

In French territory is the Lake Artouste, that has a peculiarity that no other treasures. On the surrounding slopes circulates, a 2.000 meters, highest tourist train in Europe. In the ski resort (which is reached in 15 minutes from step Portalet, Station with Formigal) you can buy a ticket for cable car up first and then the little train (around 25 euros per person). The trip, the 50 minutes, air is trethendamente, and landscapes not remain indifferent to nadia. After you walk, the Lake Artouste is only 15 minutes. If one is fortunate that the surrounding mountains reflected in the lake, disbursement is more than justified. The excursion, clear, falls short, but since the lake itself is a path that leads signposted, in an hour and a quarter, to another nearby lake and the hill of Artouste, right on the slope opposite to that of the railways.

I leave for last the highest located ibón Pyrenees, the frozen lake of Monte Perdido, climbed the hill massif just over 3.000 meters. It is a landscape to enjoy lunch basking in the sun. Often cold and the wind blows hard until summer. Small in size, becomes more small, to look just a puddle, while the grueling climbs spittoon leading to the top of the Lost. But their environment, flanked by the Marboré cylinder, mountaineer is no magical effect to it so easily forget.
