A friend once told me that people are divided into two types: those that deserve to be given Ocean Sea and the rest. He felt that I was the first and he gave me his own copy. Since then, Alessandro Baricco is my favorite author and Océano Mar is the book that sustains my dreams. A masterpiece. A gem. A bible pagan. An exquisite gold work that weaves an extraordinary world of dream characters, so real and unbelievable as life, like ours, as to which you crave sometimes surprising and mercilessly throws us into a world of wonder that is never eternal. It has approach, middle and end, as the book itself. And how the trips. Above all, as travel.
Almayer is the inn where the story unfolds. Those who have read it know, however, which is actually much more
I confess that, since, every time I embark on a new journey unknowingly seek Almayer. For those who have not read the book, Almayer is the inn where the story unfolds. Those who have read it know, however, which is actually much more. A step scenario, experiences a laboratory, limbo in which sins are redeemed, suspended space balanced on one's dreams, as ground of all and as no man's land can only promise unusual adventures and unusual findings. A place where everything is possible. As travel. Back, as travel.
Confess, also, I always finish the finding. Putting, say. It is impossible to jump into the world with a light backpack and shoes hunger- and not feel the same uneasiness that Savigny to the sea, face your fears as Elisewin, search limits-whether personal or landscape- as does Bartleboom. Or find people fleeing themselves as Ann Devéria. Others who seek inspiration to Plasson. And many, many, to look around with eyes of a child, with Dood, who sat on the windowsill curious cast its gaze outward.
It is impossible to jump into the world with a light backpack and shoes hunger- and not feel the same uneasiness
Almayer's, ultimately, the act of traveling. Goal and path simultaneously. Middle and end. Search and find. And pray that as my favorite book, "Everything else was not yet. Invent-that would be wonderful ". Inventing.
