(II)… circus performance of children with AIDS

Javier Brandoli. Cape Town

The performance was 27 April, national holiday commemorating South Africa's first democratic elections. Children, de la miserable barriada de Khayelitsha, prepare for their big moment. All within a professional show that mixes numbers made by the school youth Zip Zap with the provision of sick kids. The message is unequivocal: You can lead a normal life and exercise if you take drugs, if they are accessed.

The energy of the marquee lights in seconds. No whining, two hours of action become a lesson. Really what makes this school is fascinating. There are no sick kids make numbers up to the Cirque du Soleil (is one company that helps this school). Perhaps the history of children with HIV is most striking, but many of the "professional" kids who go on stage have also found a future here that was impossible. It is brutal verify that those classes in a gym in Khayelitsha alone become a spectacle of lights, laughter, color and applause, applause.

Keep the plan to help this project. The Spanish Consulate has confirmed to be involved in promoting an event to be held in late August or early September to finance small classes. I shall explain it in my blog. Anyone who wants to help, as I said before, be invited. Be explained in detail.
