The food would be a Saturday so I went to the market on Friday accompanied by Román to buy everything you need. It was rainy season and the road from the house to the market was a tremendous quagmire. I drove my old car which was stuck in the mud a few times and had to get Román push. Furthermore the engine every few calaba.
I had thought to prepare lamb curry so I went in search of fresh ginger, turmeric powder and coriander, chiles rojos, garam masala, tomatoes, onions, lemons and fresh cilantro.
This morning the market was especially lively and colorful. I felt the pungent smell of spices, orderly placed in a cone shape, on large baskets placed in row. An Indian chubby and smiling I served in generous amounts of newspaper pieces.
We chose two beautiful pieces of ginger.
Olisqueamos the sweet green coriander leaves and pineapples to find the most juicy and sweet.
Charline asked to go in search of a freshly slaughtered lamb. It took more than two hours but returned with the animal still hot, skinned and wrapped in cloth.
We spent much of the afternoon cutting the beautiful animal and preparing the sauce. Once this, pour over the meat and let it marinate overnight.
That night my dreams altered again and woke up to a reckless thing in the morning in a sweat. Sitting on the bed could not remember exactly what it was that had brought me to this state, but some images came to me of a blur. Animal bloody pieces somehow mingled with the bright reflection of a stone and oily light dancing in the dark and dirty little hand of an African boy. Suddenly the stone, Very dark garnet, melted in your palm and a trickle of blood running down his hand. Fell thick bluish blood drops that the sandy soil, by which also had scattered heads slaughtered lamb, legs with bones still outstanding, animal teeth and eyes… I had a terrible fear, kept the boy close to me with her little hand and I looked bloody garnet on the floor, with a sickening despair, sweating, horrified…when I woke.
Cesar groom, who slept beside me deeply.
It was summer and cyclone season. Outside the wind roared and vapuleaba windows and trees. I heard the rain shrapnel on the tiles. I got up without making too much noise. I went down one floor and sat in the dark in a covered area of ??the terrace. Despite the rain and the wind was particularly hot night, I thought maybe it had been that intense heat that had produced me nightmares.
The garden was full of ghosts and shadows. There was something eclectic in space. Heat, water, Wind whispers, it was as if everything had conspired to create a bewitching night and fairies, witches and goblins in my garden were dancing around me. I tried to listen to the silence.
Hearing my footsteps, Noel, the guard who watched over my house that night and often slept on the grass, appeared from the darkness of the night and rain and approached me to ask if everything was OK. I said yes and walked away quietly with a flashlight in hand, time respecting my privacy.
After a while I managed to drive away evil thoughts and started thinking about the next day's meeting.
